Matthew Michael Marchese – Creating an Example for Fresh Entrepreneurs to Follow

Entrepreneurship in the twenty-first century is a demanding profession and its challenges are only increasing with each passing day. This is because the world is changing and growing at such a rapid pace that as an entrepreneur, up to date innovative thinking is required to stay ahead of the curve. Entrepreneurs in the twenty-first century must be highly organized and adaptable such that they should always be thinking and planning. A good entrepreneur should also have excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to effectively lead others.

Because of these skills, entrepreneurs are in high demand as owners, employees, and even customers. It also elevates them to the ranks of the most powerful individuals in the workplace. A strong communicator and fluent speaker with strong managerial and interpersonal skills are the individuals this fast-paced world requires. Harboring similar personality traits, an individual named Matthew Michael Marchese started from scratch and became a successful entrepreneur.

Born on November 17, 1982, Matthew Michael Marchese, also recognized as Matt Marchese, Michael Marchese, and Mathew Marchese is an entrepreneur, entertainer, investor, and real estate, investor. Marchese has also served in the US Army and owns multiple Servpro franchises in Iowa and Nebraska. He was born to a family in which both parents operated their own businesses; one owned a small moving company, and the other ran a cleaning company. Following the footsteps of his family, Marchese started his first job in a roofing and construction company.

Marchese had always envisioned entrepreneurship as his career path. When he was younger, he saw his parents working hard which drove him to achieve greater excellence in his life. This is why he served 22 years in the Army and Army Reserve Combat Deployment Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

During his deployment in 2022, he served as Sgt. 1st Class on the command staff of the United States Army Reserves. Marchese gained firsthand knowledge and experience on how to run a successful organization under pressure. He received the Army Legion of Merit Award for his 22 years of service in the United States Army. Emphasizing his expanded expertise, he now owns and operates several growing small businesses, providing quality jobs and emphasizing the importance of small businesses serving their communities.

Marchese is the owner of approximately eight SERVPRO franchises in Nebraska and Iowa that provide fire, water, and biohazard cleanup, restoration, and construction services. After achieving success, he and his wife, Lindy Marchese, who is also a Sgt. 1st Class, purchased the local franchise in Des Moines, Iowa. Originally, they planned to sell it within a year but quickly realized that the business was a thriving opportunity that could not be sold. He later expanded his business portfolio by adding more franchises to it.

From the 1st to the 7th of May 2022, Servpro celebrated National Small Business Week by announcing its 2,000th franchise and sharing small business spotlights of franchise owners like Marchese who embody the entrepreneurial spirit. “Entrepreneurship has always been in my blood. And, once I realized I didn’t want to go to college, entrepreneurship was the only path to success I could see,” Marchese quoted in an interview.

Servpro has been founded on entrepreneurial dreams and has helped change the lives of hundreds of small business owners since its inception in 1967 and its first franchise in 1969, according to Servpro Industries, LLC CEO Rick Isaacson.

Marchese is also the creator and host of the podcast, Protect Your Purpose. The podcast is hosted by Marchese and Zach Grady, also known as Matt & Zach, with Lindy Marchese as a guest. The podcast consists primarily of mixed discussions about whisky, business, friends, family, and freedom. Guests are encouraged to associate with businesses that fit into these categories. Marchese also founded and runs the Siouxland Training Center. The center is IICRC certified and offers classes related to the restoration industry, as well as in-person and online virtual classes.
