Full Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Abra Malaga -Huamanmarca – Santa Maria

We collect from your hotel in Cusco and drive to Ollantaytambo, where we have our stop in order to rest a little, while you can use the restrooms, buy some items that you could need during this tour, and also purchase breakfast.

Then we keep driving to Abra Malaga, where we will start our biking activity. Your guide will provide you with all the gear and you will ride down to the valley. This downhill offers stunning views, and you will see how the high mountains change to a green valley.

We will be riding for about 2 hours (40 kilometers) on a half-road, then we drive to Santa Maria, where we have lunch. After a well-deserved rest, we will go water rafting in the Urubamba River. This activity takes two hours in total.

We spent the first night at our local lodge.

Day 2: Santa Maria – Qellomayo – Hot Springs –  Santa Teresa

Today we wake up early with a hot tea and enjoy the nutritious local breakfast prepared by the local fresh fruits. The hike begins by walking up and down in the forest, with some stops to visit the farms that we can find around: bananas, avocados, oranges, coca, coffee, and more. Your guide will explain all these.

Then we hike up to reach the Inca Trail path, where we will get incredible views of the valley, get some Inca history there, capture the best moments, explore the area, and then hike down to Qellomayo to have our lunch.

After a rest in the hammocks, we continue our hike to the hot spring, an incredible section of the valley where we will cross the river by cable car. Once at the hot spring, you can join it. Afterwards, we will hike for one more hour to get to our hotel in Santa Teresa.

Day 3. Santa Teresa – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes

Today we will have fun flying on the zipline. Our guide will take us to the restaurant to enjoy our delicious breakfast, then we will drive for a few minutes to the base camp of the zipline. The instructors will provide the gear and the safety talk. You will spend about 2 hours enjoying the fantastic views by flying on the zipline.

In the afternoon, we drive to Hidroelectrica, have lunch, and start hiking along the railway. This section offers beautiful views of the valley and a little of Machu Picchu.

After several days of hiking, we will reach Aguas Calientes town, where we spent the last night of our journey.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

In order to avoid the crowds and see the sunrise at Machu Picchu, we will wake up early and board one of the first buses; it takes 20 minutes to drive. Pass the checkpoint, walk up to the view point, and be amazed by the stunning views of this mysterious Machu Picchu.
