Humantay Lake Day Tour Itinerary
Our representatives will collect you from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning, then we will drive for about 2 hours to reach Mollepata town where we will stop to enjoy our andean breakfast, along the way you will see different landscapes.
After breakfast, we continue our drive to Soraypampa, you will have the first view of Humantay mountain from there, it is huge snow mountains which is standing at 6,000 meters. In Soraypampa 3,900 meters above sea level you will start the hike, it takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to reach the lake, it is a picturesque path that goes ascending, when you turn back, you will see how the valley offers breathtaking views.
Once you reach Humantay Lake, you will be amazed by its turqouise colors, it is crystal water that melts from the glacier, this kind of lake was very important during the ancient time, the Incas owned it because of the importance of water for life.
You will feel the energy of the lake and the apus, and your tour guide also will do some offerings with the purpose to say thank you to mother nature.
Once you have done with the exploration, we will back to the bus station to board the bus and drive to Mollepata to enjoy our lunch.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Cusco and our bus will drop off you at your hotel.
