  • Type ‘Services’ into the Windows Start menu.

  • Open ‘Services’ and find the ‘QuickBooksDBXX.’

  • Right-click this file and select ‘Properties.’

  • Now, find ‘Service status’ in the ‘General’ tab. 

  • If the status shows ‘running or started,’ select ‘Stop.’

  • Move to the ‘Logon’ tab and select ‘Local System account.’

  • Click on the ‘Recovery’ tab and choose ‘Restart the Service’ from each of these; ‘First Failure,’ ‘Second Failure,’ and ‘Subsequent failures.’

  • Return to the ‘General’ tab and click ‘Start’ to restart the database server manager.
