Do you find it difficult to plan your next workout? Garmin will do the work for you. Compatible smartwatches offer workout options.
Even the most dedicated athlete can get stuck choosing their next exercise. We’ve all missed workouts because we were unsure of what to do. You can’t miss a workout if you wear a Garmin. It’s possible you didn’t know, but your purchase gave you access to a variety of workouts. You only need to flick your wrist and tap on the screen of a compatible smartphone.
Garmin Connect ™ App Workouts
When you purchase a Garmin smartwatch, you’ll be prompted to download the Garmin Connect app. You can download the app immediately if you haven’t done so health. This app lets you view all your body metrics at once, including your energy, steps, stress score, and heartbeat1. The app also gives you a sleep grade that grades the quality of your sleep, assuming you were wearing your wristwatch at bedtime. This app can be used for many other things. For example, you can perform a number of exercises that are already built into the app.
Select “Training & Planning” by tapping “More”, which is located in the lower-right corner of Garmin Connect’s home screen. Clicking on “Workouts”, you’ll be taken to another screen, where you can choose whether to create a workout or search for one. Select “Find A Exercise” to browse the options. Sort the options according to type of activity, difficulty level, muscle group, duration, and goal.
Imagine that you have just eaten lunch at the office and are struggling to stay awake for your late afternoon meetings. If you only have 40 minutes to spare, you might try the Midday Energy Boost. It is a 40 minute intermediate yoga workout designed to wake you up. Scroll down to view the exercises. The exercise begins with a mountain pose and ends with a seated position that is easy and a prayer mudra lasting one minute.
The workout can be saved as a bookmark within the Garmin Connect App. You can then finish the workout on your phone, or send it to a device compatible with Garmin Connect. Once your watch and the app have been synced, you can choose the workout that was downloaded (in this case, yoga) in the Sports Apps section. When you’re ready, your watch will ask what exercise you want to do and for how long. You can use an animation to show how you should perform the pose on your compatible smartwatch.
Are you prepared for your afternoon meetings today? Save the workout to your watch and you’ll have it next time. You can delete it if you don’t like the workout. This will allow you to have your favorite exercises at hand when you need them.
