One such civil activist is Dr. Muhammad Fakhrul Islam, who has transformed the lives of many not only as a civil activist but also as an entrepreneur.

Dr. Islam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and attended the Government Tolaram University College to acquire a Bachelor of Social Science degree. Later he enrolled in Habibullah Bahar University College to earn a Master of Social Science degree in the field of Political Science, and to gain more knowledge of the business world, he joined Darul Ihsan University, where he received his Master of Business Administration degree. In 2011, He completed Ph.D. in International Trade from the Atlantic University. He has also earned an MBA degree from NIBM Global, India majoring in export-import and international trade management.
Dr. Islam is a multi-faceted individual who has achieved success not only as a civil activist but also as an entrepreneur. He is known around the world as the founder of MEXIMCO Group, a multinational corporation that specializes in the export, import, and general supply of capital electronic, machinery, telecommunication, and electrical products and equipment. He is also the founder and Secretary General of China Bangladesh Friendship Center CBFC, which is a bilateral social organization between China and Bangladesh. Other than these, he is the trustee chairperson and founder of Dr. Muhammad Fakhrul Islam Foundation, a charitable organization that is located in Bangladesh, and the owner of the Society for Social Entrepreneurship Development Alternative (Soseda), a non-governmental organization working for underprivileged people.
Other than serving as a leader of his businesses, Dr. Islam has also worked as an additional district coordinator at Rotary International. Dr. Islam has been serving as a member of multiple organizations, including the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Bangladesh Computer Samity, the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chinese Economists Society Inc., HKMA, Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hong Kong, Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong, Royal Asiatic Society Hong Kong, and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce HK.
